Ipsy Bag March 2014

I have only received 2 Ipsy bags but I think I'm in love! The only complaint I have is that this month, there was only 4 items in the bag. but considering that 2 of the products seem to be full sized, who can complain too much?!

First up, bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready. It's OK. Not really a color I would pick for myself and it doesn't have much staying power, in my opinion.

This is the NYX eye shadow Love in Rio. I love this! It's very pigmented and in colors that I would pick for myself. Ipsy really hit the nail on the head with this one! I would have picked this even for myself, although I would prefer it not to be so sparkly.

Next is the Pixi Beauty Flawless Beauty Primer. I have not used this since I will be almost out of my Almay Primer. Which happened to be a new bottle two weeks ago but then some kids decided to paint my bathroom with it. That was a lovely day. LOL. But, back to topic, I can't wait to use this.

Last but not least is the Chella Indigo Blue Eyeliner. Have I ever worn blue eyeliner, HECK NO! Will I ever wear blue eyeliner? Maybe. I usually stick to black or brown but I will try this out and see how it looks when I want to feel a little wild. Maybe even wear it to a Zumba After Dark!

Blah bag it came in. Not my favorite and will probably be giving it away.

So this was my March Ipsy bag. I do like the products they sent this month. And yet again, I think they beat Birchbox this month. Ipsy is definitely a keeper for this girl here!

SOOO Birchbox

So, Birchbox this month isn't bad but it isn't great either. On the plus side, I received 5 products plus the lifestyle extra, which is a first.

First up is from theBalm cosmetics How "bout Them Apples? in the color Pie.
This is for lips and cheeks and I love it. It's so creamy and smooth.

I also received the Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic face rejuvenator. I have not used this as of yet since it exfoliates and I need all the color in my face that I can get at the moment.

Next is the Coola Tinted Matte SPF 30. I haven't used this yet either but since it's snowing outside at the moment, I think you would understand why I have not used this yet. Where I come from, you are outside long enough to walk from the house or store, to the car and vise versa. Once it warms up, I'm sure I'll love it.

Here is the Gena Pedi Cure Foot Treatment Creme. I haven't used this packet yet but I have used this before. I can't say for everyone but personally, it softened the rough spots on my feet only while using a foot buffer thing. What wouldn't soften your feet when being used with a buffer?!

This is StriVectin-AR Advanced Retinol Day Treatment with Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I have not tried this and am a little afraid to try it. If I happen to like it and would want more, this stuff is $99!! I'm not old enough to be paying crazy prices for miracle creams!

And last but not least, Ghirardelli Intense Dark Cherry Tango chocolate. I am saving this baby for a really bad freaking day. I love that I finally got a full box (in my opinion, anyways). And I love the idea of chocolate in a box. Now if only I could get some hair pieces that everyone used to get. My box would be complete!

Well this was the March Birchbox for me. Like I said, not bad but still not seeming to beat my Ipsy bag. I'll give them a few more months to prove themselves. That's all for now, Have a great evening!

I'm Back! And Freaking OUT!!!!!

So, I know I have been gone for a while but after I quit my job, I joined a gym, bought a tanning package, and have just been enjoying life again. So, I have a Birchbox and an Ipsy post to write about. And I have to recommend this book series. The Lesson Series by Jennifer Conners. A-MAZ-ING. Her first book was a freebie (we all know I love those) but I was completely hooked from then on. There are eight books in the series out and the ninth will be out on Amazon in just a few days. The way that I would describe the Lesson Series is classic romance with a modern twist. Literally. Ginnie, the main character, is coming back from a vacation in hell when she ends up in an accident. Then she's waking up, not in her own life, but as the heroine from every book that she read while on vacation. Sounds odd, right? Another blah book. WRONG! Instantly fell in love with this series. If you want to know just what I'm talking about, go here for A Lesson In Passion, the first book of the series, which is FREE. Check it out. See for your self. And let me know what you think!
